Abstract
Syphilids are skin manifestations of secondary syphilis. These occur in 80 per cent of cases. The early eruptions are generalized, superficial macular eruptions, later they are maculopapular or papular eruptions which are usually polymorphous and less often scaly, pustular or pigmented.
Papular syphilid usually arise a little later than macular. The most common and the most easily recognized is the lenticular papular syphilid. These are frequently distributed on the face, trunk and flexures of arms and lower legs.
A 38-year-old female patient presented with asymptomatic multiple erythematous papules on the neck, trunk and both forearm of 10days duration. She was treated effectively with Benzathine Penicillin G 2.4 million units intramuscularly weekly for 3 doses.
