남자대학생의 최대산소섭취량과 직전준비운동량과의 상관관계

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of prior exercise (PE) on the cardiopulmonary performance of untrained young men in the bicycle ergometry. Twenty healthy college students were selected and their physical characteristics were 21±0.69 years of age, 168.9±3.86 cm in height, 60.1±6.63kg in body weight and 16.69±3.20% fat (mean ± SD) reserve. Each subject was made to perform three types of exercise on the bicycle ergometry; firstly exercise without prior exercise (Control), secondly exercise with prior exercise at preload to the level of heart rate of 140 per minute (PE 140), and thirdly exercise with prior exercise at preload to the level of heart rate of 170 per minute (PE 170). Whether with or without prior exercise, bicycle ergometry was performed to start at 100 watts as initial loading and to increase 25 watts at every two minutes until exhaustion. And each type of the exercise task was taken in the interval of one week at least.
Changes of oxygen intake ($$\dot V$$o₂), carbondioxide production, respiratory exchange ratio, minute ventilation, tidal volume and repiratory rate were measured at every 20 seconds. Also total performance time of bicycle ergometry was measured.
The results obtained from the maximal bicycle ergometry with or without prior exercise are as following:
In PE 140 and PE 170, $$\dot V$$o₂ of prior exercise was 50.1% and 76.4% of its maximal $$\dot V$$o₂ respectively.
In PE 140, maximal heart rate (p<0.01), maximal $$\dot V$$o₂ (p<0.05), maximal minute ventilation (p<0.01), maximal respiratory rate (p<0.01), and total exercise time (p<0.05) were significantly increased comparing with Control.
In PE 170, maximal heart rate (p<0.01), maximal minute ventilation (p<0.05), and maximal respiratory rate (p<0.05) were significantly increased, but increment of $$\dot V$$₂ max. and total exercise time were not significant comparing with Control.
The relationship between heart rate and oxygen intake during with or without prior exercise in three types of exercise had highly significant correlation coefficient of 0.747, 0.748 and 0.729 respectively.
The relationship between minute ventilation and oxygen intake during with or without prior exercise in three types of exercise had very highly significant correlation coefficient of 0.946, 0.957 and 0.917 respectively.
The relationship between respiratory rate and minute ventilation during with or without prior exercise in three types of exercise had highly significant correlation coefficient of 0.823, 0.778 and 0.788 respectively, but no significant correlation was obseved between tidal volume and minute ventilation.
On the basis of these findings, we conclude that prior exercise at preload to the heart rate of 140 beats per minute showing about 50% of maximal $$\dot V$$o₂ seems to a significant enhancement of cardiopulmonary performance during maximal exercise in the bicycle ergometry.
제자리 자전거 최대 주행운동에서 준비운동의 정도가 운동 수행능력과 심폐기능에 미치는 영향을 보기 위하여 훈련되지 않은 의과대학 남학생 20명을 대상으로 준비운동없이 본운동을 실시한 경우(대조), 분시심박수가 140회에 이를 때까지 준비운동한 후 본운동을 실시한 경우(예비 140), 그리고 분시심박수가 170회에 이를 때까지 준비운동한 후 본운동을 실시한 경우(예비 170)로 나누어 1주일 이상의 간격을 두고 임의의 순서로 3종류의 운동을 수행케 하였고, 분시심박수, 산소, 섭취량, 탄산가스 배출량 및 호흡교환비율과 분시환기량, 일회호흡량, 분시호흡수 및 자전거 최대 주행시간을 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.
준비운동 종료시의 산소 섭취량은 최대 산소 섭취량에 대해 예비 140 및 예비 170에서 각각 50.1%, 76.4%였다.
최대 자전거 주행시 예비 140에서는 대조보다 최대 분시심박수, 최대 산소 섭취량, 최대 분시환기량, 분시호흡수 및 최대 주행시간이 유의하게 높았으며, 예비 170에서는 대조보다 최대 분시심박수, 최대 분시환기량 및 분시호흡수는 유의하게 높았으나, 최대 산소 섭취량과 최대 주행시간은 유의한 변화를 나타내지 못하였다.
이상으로 운동수행 직전에 실시한 준비운동을 통해서 운동수행능력이 향상되는 것을 예비 140 및 예비 170에서 관찰하였으며, 특히 최대 산소 섭취량의 50% (분시심박수 140회)에 달하는 정도의 준비운동이 최대 운동수행의 향상에 유효한 효과가 있다고 사료된다.
