Extra LD6 Isoenzyme Band 1례

Abstract

Normal human serum and tissue, except testis, show five lactate dehydrogenase isoenzymes on electrophoresis. An unusual band on the cathodic side of LD5 isoezyme has been found on lcatate dehydrogenase eletrophoresis of serum, called LD6, and the presence of which signifies a poor prognosis for the patients. The autors experience one case of LD6 extraband in 61-year-old female patient suffered from rheumatic heart disease combined with aortic stenosis and regurgitation, congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema. Cardiac arrest was noted within several hours after exhibition of LD6 extraband and she did not recover from her illness, so we report with brief review of literatures.
