뇌농양을 동반한 폐렴막대균에 의한 신주위농양 1례

Abstract

Klebsiella pneumoniae causes pyogenic infection in various sites, with the risk of which increases in patients with impaired immunity such as diabetes mellitus or liver cirrhosis. We experienced a case of a 72-year-old alcoholic liver cirrhosis female diagnosed with perinephric abscess and brain abscess caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae . Despite the medical and surgical managements, patient died of secondary infection due to candidemia. This report suggests that clinician should be alert to the possibility of septic metastatic lesions during the treatment of Klebsiella pneumoniae infection.
