공존의 개념분석

Abstract

A concept is a building block of a theory. The purpose of concept analysis is to clarify the critical attribute and identify the real meaning of the concept, particularly if the concept is not understood clearly and accurately. This study was done to analyze the concept ‘coexistence’, borrowed from another discipline and unclearly used in nursing science. For this concept analysis, Walker and Avant’s Method was used. Critical attributes of the concept ‘coexistence’ were (1)two of more entities which are fundamentally different, (2)existing together in the same time or in the same space, and (3)positive interaction. An antecedent of coexistence was ‘conflict between the different entities’, and a consequence of the coexistence was a ‘state of harmonious balance between the different entities.’
