전경부에서 발생한 흉선암종 1례

Abstract

An histologically distinct thymic carcinoma showing variegated histologic features of small cell undifferentiated-squamous cell carcinoma, adenocaricinoma, mucoepidermoid carcinoma and pure thymoma is described. While forming an heterogenous histologic patterns, this tumor is located in the anterior neck and lacked evidence of a primary tumor elsewhere, marking it as primary thymic neoplasm. So that it should be recognized as primary thymic carcinoma and suggests possibility of multipotential thymic stem cells differentiating toward several different cell types.
