이압요법이 시설거주노인의 근골격계 통증, 우울 및 수면에 미치는 효과

Abstract

Purpose: This study's purpose was to examine and evaluate the effects of auricular acupressure on musculoskeletal pain, depression and sleep of the elderly who are in long-term care facilities. Method: The research was conducted by using a non-equivalent control group and non-synchronized design and with data collection performed from October to December, 2016. The subjects were from elderly long-term care facilities in D city and divided into an experimental group of 24 and a control group of 25. Result: After the intervention, the experimental group showed a significant improvement in degree of musculoskeletal pain on time (χ²=23.89, p<.001) and degree of depression on group and time (χ²=37.42, p<.001, U=122.0, P<001) and degree of sleep on time (χ²=33.62, p<.001). Thus, the suggested hypothesis can be partial supported. Conclusion: Auricular acuprssure therapy is expected to be a practical and efficient nursing intervention for the elderly who are in long-term care facilities.

목적: 본 연구는 이압요법이 시설노인의 근골격계 통증, 우울 및 수면에 미치는 효과를 확인하기 위한 목적으로 시행되었다. 연구설계: 본 연구는 비동등성 대조군 전후시차설계로 자료 수집기간은 2016년 10월부터 12월까지 이루어졌으며, 연구대상자는 D시에 위치한 노인요양시설에 입소한 실험군 24명, 대조군 25명을 대상으로 자료가 수집되었다. 결과: 대조군과 비교하여 실험군의 근골격계 통증은 시간에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나(χ²=23.89, p<.001) 제 1가설은 부분 지지되었으며 우울은 시간과 그룹 모두 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나(χ²=37.42, P<.001, U=122.0, p<001) 제 2가설은 지지되었으며 수면은 시간에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 (χ²=33.62, p<.001) 제 3가설은 부분 지지되었다. 결론: 본 연구에서 적용한 이압요법이 향후 시설노인을 대상으로 근골격계 통증, 우울, 수면에 간호중재로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
