- Abstract
- There are no published case series of nonunion of distal
radius fractures in healthy children because of the rarity of
its occurrence. We searched for all reported cases of this
condition in Pubmed, Google scholar, and SCOPUS. We
found three series, which included one previously reported
by our group. The aim of the present study was to define the
predisposing factors leading to nonunion after treatment of
distal radius fractures in healthy children. We also aimed to
emphasize that nonunion should be included in the list of
complications of distal radius fractures in children and be
mentioned in the textbook of pediatric trauma.
