- Abstract
- OWING to the affect of Confucian body concept, any
injury of body, even dead body, was thoroughly
prohibited in Korea. As a result, cremation and autopsy was
rare. Also rare was cadaveric organ donation. But due to
ceaseless enlightenment on organ donation, cadaveric renal
transplantation has increased steadily. In Korea, laws for
brain death are set to be executed in 2000, and increment of
cadaveric renal transplantation is expected. Thirty-nine
cadaveric renal transplantation were performed in our
hospital beginning in 1994. To improve the graft survival in
cadaveric renal transplantation, various factors that affect
the results of allograft function have been analyzed and
reported.
