- Abstract
- Background: Stem cell factor and G-CSF along and in combination have been compared for their stimulatory and synergistic effects on ex vivo expansion of mononuclear cells & also compared for dose dependent effect of G-CSF, 1,000U/mL and 5,000U/mL of G-CSF werer used.
Method : Bone marrow cells were obtained from adult with normal marrow function and mononuclear cells were seperated using a Ficoll-Hypaque density gradient.
Result : CFU-GM were significantly increased even in 1 day exposure with growth factor than control group and also showed statistically significant increase in 7 day and 10 day of incubation with growth factors.
Conclusion : These results indicated that G-CSF and stem cell factor interact synergistically and their action on ex vivo expansion of mononuclear cell begin shortly after exposure.
