Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the nursing diagnosis use of case management for clients who have mental health problems. The subjects of this study were 56 clients with mental health problems. And when the preliminary mental health nurse practitioners visited home to give nursing interventions, ten nursing diagnoses were used frequently among fifty-six cases of nursing management records who were registered at public health center, sanatorium, mental hospital or community mental health center during the period of March 2001 to March 2002. The diagnoses applied were the nursing intervention protocol developed by Kim, Sunah in 1997. And the results were shown the nursing diagnosis distributions, nursing diagnosis characteristics at the facilities and those of according to the socioeconomic variables.
