간호대학생의 진로적응성 영향요인: 의사소통능력, 문화성향을 중심으로

Abstract

This descriptive survey study aimed to examine the level of career adaptability and analyze the effects of communication competence and cultural orientation on career adaptability among senior nursing students. Data were collected from 185 fourth-year nursing students at three universities in Daegu, South Korea, using written and online questionnaires from July 26 to October 4, 2023. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 25 for descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the average career adaptability score among nursing students was 4.12 out of 5 points. Career adaptability was significantly positively correlated with communication competence (r=.611, p<.001). Multiple regression analysis identified communication competence (β=.72, p<.001), major satisfaction (β=.26, p<.05), and vertical collectivism (β=-.24, p=.015) as significant factors influencing career adaptability, with these variables explaining 40.9% of the variance (F=8.97, p<.001). These findings highlight the importance of strategies to enhance communication competence and major satisfaction to improve the career adaptability of nursing students. Furthermore, efforts to mitigate the negative effects of vertical collectivism and promote values of equality and mutual respect are recommended. This study provides valuable insights for the development of nursing education and career support programs to foster better career adaptability among nursing students.

본 연구는 간호대학생의 진로적응성 정도를 확인하고 의사소통능력 및 문화성향이 진로적응성에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구는 대구광역시에 소재한 3개 대학에 4학년 간호대학생을 185명을 대상으로 2023년 7월 26일부터 10월 4일까지 서면 또는 온라인 설문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Statistics 25 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficinet, 다중회귀분석(multiple linear regression)을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 간호대학생의 진로적응성은 5점 만점에 평균 4.12점으로 나타났다. 진로적응성은 의사소통능력(r=.611, p<.001)과 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보여, 의사소통능력이 높을수록 진로적응성이 증가하였다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 진로적응성에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인은 의사소통능력(β=.72, p<.001), 전공만족도(β=.26, p<.05), 수직적 집단주의(β=-.24, p=.015)로 확인되었으며, 회귀분석의 설명력은 40.9%(F=8.97, p<.001)로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 간호대학생의 진로적응성을 증진시키기 위해 의사소통능력과 전공만족도를 향상시키는 교육적인 접근이 필요함을 시사한다. 또한 수직적 집단주의 성향을 완화하거나 지양하고, 평등과 상호 존중의 가치를 강화하는 전략이 요구된다.
